Collective NARS Haul

Hi Bellas!
I've been trying to spread my wings into other brands besides MAC...right now I'm really into MUFE, Bobbi Brown, and Nars. Thanks to all of these amazing online sales going on, i've been able to build up my collection considerably in the last few weeks. I now own at least one blush, bronzer, lipgloss, eyeshadow, and multiple. Woo hoo! I feel complete :)

I wanted to share with you my collective haul over the last few weeks.
Check out my video!

Taos blush - I bought this after seeing Loulud on youtube...it's such a pretty apricot/pinky shade that instantly brightens up your face. So pretty! Super pigmented so apply lightly. This is my fav NARS blush out of the bunch.

Exhibit A blush
- Scandalous Beauty turned me onto this. So gorgeous! A vibrant orangey/red that looks so warm and pretty of women of color. I'm keeping this one in my kit. Apply super duper lightly...consider also using a fan or duo stippler blush on this baby.

Luster blush - I saw this at the mall when a store lady was telling me this would look really pretty on my olive skin. It's a shimmery apricot with gold flecks. On her hand it was beautiful. I ordered it online and then read reviews on Makeup Alley. I was nervous because it seemed like everyone who reviewed it was lighter to me, and then on them, it looked "subtle and natural". I finally tried it and it is super duper natural. At first I was a bit disappointed. But once I started to work with it, I really like it! It looks great for work and I really don't have to worry about applying too much. It gives me a nice glow. I want to try wearing this with a CCB underneath though because I notice it fades by the end of the day.

Sin/Casino Duo: I really wanted to get a NARS bronzer since I've heard so many good things. I decided to pick up the blush/bronzer duo to get more for my money. Sin is a really pretty neutral blush...more of a subdued rose color. Casino is actually pretty subtle on me. I think I prefer my MAC bronzer more. I tried using the color for contouring but it has too much red in it.

Holiday gloss duo set: If you're trying to try out as many glosses as possible, this is the way to do it! The colors range from shimmery, satiny, to matte. Out of them all, Chihuahua is my favorite.

Belly Dance eyeshadow duo: Absolutely gorgeous! This duo of emerald green and burgundy would have been perfect for my holiday green and red smokey eyes. I pretty much wore it the whole time I was on x-mas vacation and got many compliments. The colors are very pigmented and extra super duper smooth and easy to blend. I add a little bit of carbon in my outer v for depth and a neutral highlight and you have a complete look.

NARS super orgasm blush-My bestie got this for me for x-mas. I was surprised that it showed up on my skin because i've heard that orgasm doesn't always show up on med to darker tones. I can see what people are talking about...the chunks of gold glitter are intense! I usually just shake off my excess when using the blush to get rid of it. This is a pretty color, but I don't see what the hype is about.

NARS Silent Night eyeshadow-My first single eyeshadow (from the bestie again). This pretty gold color comes from this year's Holiday Collection. I definitely don't have a true gold color like this in my collection, so yay! I swatched this a few times and notice that it has gold chunky flakes that like to fall off when you swipe, kinda annoying, so watch for fall out.

I also got a sample of their foundation. I tried choosing my color online. I chose wrong, lol.
So far, my favorites are: Taos Blush, Chihuahua lipglass, and Belly Dance duo. Next on my list is Turkish delight lipglass. My brother supposedly got me a sephora gift card for x-mas that he accidentally left at home, lol, so I plan to use that. After which, I'm taking a mini break from Nars since I have MAC blond, brunette redhead and Hello Kitty Collections to look forward to!

What are you favorites from NARS? Any recommendations to add to my list?

Till next time, Ciao Bellas!

When I saw the title of your new post I was like uhoh..my wallet and will power might not be strong enough to read this. I'm trying to curb my spending but, recently fell in love with Nars eyeshadows over the Holidays so I didn't need any more temptation. My mom gave me a Nars eyeshadow she wasn't using anymore. It's a very dark green, might be Night Porter. I love it though even more than MAC eyeshadows. I just wish they were cheaper. I only have one Nars lip gloss in Turkish delight which I bought trying to imitate Kim Kardashian's look. I don't find myself reaching for this lip gloss that much. By the way, I've already added Taos blush to my wish list.

I have Taos (and two more I'm too lazy to get up and check the names).

Pretty please do a tutorial on how to apply these really pigmented blushes without looking clownish.

ohhhhh my gawd....

GREEEEN WITH ENVY WOMAN!!!!

look at all this deeelicious NARS - ever since I got that NARS "makeup your mind book" -- all the how to's in the book showcase using NARS products, so it just makes me want everything NARS!

+ something about the NARS packaging that is just so sexy and sleek - cept I don't like the texture, it gets so yucky in the traincase.

i loooooooooove your HAUL.
LOVE I said... ahahha

Wow, look at all the NARS goodies! You make me wanna try their shadows now...that duo looks so nice!! I didn't see what all the fuss was about with Orgasm at first either, but now it's one of my faves. Thanks for sharing! :)

I love love love Nars. Mata Hari is a beautiful blush that gives you a lovely flush. Definitely pigmented so you can layer for darker skintones and use a light hand for the lighter ones.

Their multiples are awesome, I have Copacabana as a highlighter (I was using MAC's Belightful before, Nars is 30x better, the shimmer is finer and it really makes my highlights glow), as well as Orgasm (I use it beneath the powder blush to have depth of color).

As far as lipsticks and lipglosses, you can't go wrong with any, but I recommend Dolce Vita as a natural dusty rose, Funny Face as a bright fucshia, Dragon Girl Velvet Matte Lip Pencil as the most intense red ever, and Sex Machine Velvet Matte Lip Pencil as a beautiful neutral lip.

Oh that collection is so beautiful. It looks like you picked some great stuff. I am also a Nars enthusiast, they make the best blushes!!! I have a couple comparisons of nars, mac, and cargo blushes on my blog http://everyday-rococo.blogspot.com/

Great colors.

I'm NC45 in MAC and I love NARS Orgasm it actually shows up on me...I may try Super Orgasm next. Turkish delight is also a pretty pale pink color...I'm sure you'll like it.

Taos looks like a gorgeous blush! I love using Deep Throat for a natural blush with a hint of sparkle, and I love the multiple sticks in St. Barts and Copacabana...I have Greek Holiday gloss, but I reach for it in the summer.
