Hi Bellas,

I wanted to share with you another client before and after.  I love when my clients want to have a little bit of fun with makeup.  I had an Asian client who came to me because she trusted me to work on her Asian features.  It was her birthday and she wanted something outside of her norm.  We went for a fun smokey look.  It's funny because growing up, I heard so many things that you shouldn't do with Asian makeup - don't apply dark colors, don't apply too much eyeliner...well in this post I show you that sometimes you should break those rules.  Check it out!

Hi Bellas,

Who doesn't love a before and after?  I'm catching up on posting pictures of clients i've done in recent months.  Today i'm showing a very pretty natural makeover on an Asian client.  Oftentimes I do book my Asian clients because as an Asian makeup artist, they trust that I can work with their ethnic features where interestingly enough we still may have different eye shapes.  I think that all makeup artists should be able to work with all faces.  It's all about challenging yourself.  Check out the before and after!

Hi Bellas,

I'm back with another celebrity inspired makeup tutorial!  I definitely have a girl crush on Jeannie Mai - Makeup Artist/Stylist and host of Style Network's What Not To Wear.  I was super inspired to do a bold and bright makeup tutorial using some of her tips and tricks.  Not only is this makeup fun, but it's super Asian friendly!

Hi Bellas!

How was your weekend? I had a really relaxing weekend with the BF. I had an early morning shoot that got postponed so I got to sleep in all weekend.

One of the things that the BF and I have wanted to do for so long was go to the Farmers Market to get some grocery shopping done. I've always heard that their is more variety and the fruits, veggies and meats taste better.

My BF had gone for Valentines day to pick up the materials for the dinner he cooked me. He had mentioned to me that he saw an entire section of Asian beauty products. Of course that wanted me to go even more!

I picked up face masks for a dollar a pop. I assume you just pop them on your face right? I couldn't read the instructions. I also bought some Charcoal nose clearing strips (like the biore ones), two mini eyelash curlers (one for me, one for the kit - perfect for recurling falsies since it doesn't have barriers on the side), and coconut oil from the Indian aisle.

I already tried the face masks, curlers and noise strips, lol. I'll fill you in my review when I get more of a chance to test them out.

They had a bunch of makeup brands that I didn't recognise, but then I saw these! Shisem lashes! Every since Pink started wearing them, I've been on a mission to find them. Have you all noticed that these are impossible to find online? Well I picked up 10 pairs at $3.50 a pop. I'm stocked! I'll probably also save some for some of my blogger sisters :)

Here's a close up of the eyelash curler.

This weekend I also placed an order for 75 pairs of lashes from Madame Madeline. I had to stock up because my resources have depleted. Mind you, this isn't just for me but for clients too, lol.

I'll share these with you when I get them.

Stay tuned for my YouTube video being posted later today...Makeup Palettes: Coastal Scents Vs Stars Makeup Haven (FYI stars makeup haven has the same ones for cheaper!)

Till next time, Ciao Bellas!

Hi Bellas!

Sorry I'm a little late posting this entry. I had a doctor's appointment this morning and am just now getting to typing this.

I tell yah, our fellow bloggers can be really convincing when it comes to buying new products. Lately, I've been super intrigued by asian beauty products. I can't wait till my trip in May to the Philippines so that I can go on an Asian Beauty Spending Spree!

In the last week I picked up 3 of the most talked about products on the blog scene: BB Cream, Mandem Makeup Remover, and Lucido Curling Spray.

I've tried some of the products out so far and here are my thoughts:

Legere BB Cream:
I picked this because it seemed to be the darkest one and I'm usually NC42-43. I think right now I'm about NC40. Unfortunately, I tried this and it's still too light for me :( I have to put on a darker powder on top for me not to look weird. I like being my natural color so I'm afraid I'm going to have to sell this baby. So sad. Stay tuned for my entry on an upcoming makeup garage sale. Besides that, it has a thick consistency so you really don't need more than a dime sized amount which is a good thing! It did a pretty good job of covering up marks and discoloration. I love how it has makeup base and sunscreen built in. I'd say this is more for those NC35 and under.

Lucido L Curl:
Am I supposed to spray this on my hair before or after curling? I tried both but I'm not sure, lol. It seems like it's working but I need proper directions before I give a final review. Help me Kim Tia! Besides that, it's a water like consistency and smells nice and fresh :)

Mandem Makeup Remover:
I didn't realize it, but I picked up the Agecare version. Ooops! I meant to get the one for Sensitive Skin. Whoa, all the reviews were right! This stuff is the Ish! It truly looks like rice milk but it melts off all makeup including mascara and liner. The good thing about this is that it doesn't sting at all. Some oil free makeup removers have a tendency to do that. It's better than my Cleanse Off Oil from MAC since it's not as messy and you don't have to deal with it getting into your contacts. This stuff is soooo on my HG list.

Hope you enjoyed my mini review! If you guys have insight on how to apply the Lucido Aqua Curl or if there's a darker BB cream out there, let me know!

Ciao Bellas!
