Indian Bridal Trial - Bronzey Bride

Hi Bellas,

I'm back with another Bridal Trial makeover.  I had the chance to work off another former bride referral - the best form of advertising.  My bride came to me with several pictures of makeup she liked, and interestingly enough we didn't really choose any of them.  As a bride, it's important to use pictures as inspiration, but to pick a look that suits your own features and personality best.

Most of my bride's inspiration pics contained dark, heavier eyes and contoured cheeks.  She was concerned that she could not wear smokey eyes because of her dark undereye circles - this is a myth!  With the power of corrector and concealer, we virtually erased her dark undereye circles and it was no longer an issue.
The bride will actually be doing two looks.  We only did her ceremony look for the trial - a bronzey smokey eye and light lip.  If you look at the picture, there are actually two different eyes on the after look - subtle but definitely different.  One is lighter and one is a bit more open.  I left her with the two looks so she could decide which one she liked better.

For foundation I'll sometimes do traditional foundation one one side of the face and airbrush on the other to see which the bride prefers.  In this case, Temptu S/B foundation looked amazing on the bride, shade #6 was a perfect match!  After the trial, I always tell the bride to go home and see how long the look lasts and really think about if that's what they'd like.  The bride took my advice and decided that she would actually like to switch it up and go for a lighter eye in the same color family but a deeper ruby lip as per traditional Indian Brides.  I was completely open to this because I could tell this look would suit the bride's personality more.

It's important to keep communication open with the bride to make sure that you're not surprised the day of.  Changes are easy to make as long as you're an artist who is open to constructive criticism - makeup is so easy to switch up that I'd much rather have an honest bride telling me she'd like to make a change than an upset bride who never told me anything.
