A Dramatic Before & After - Purple Smokey Eyes & Flawless Foundation

Hi Bellas,

I'm back with another look.  I made over my friend Johanna for NYE and the transformation was dramatic.  I went for a look that always looks great for a night out - purple smokey eyes.  Most people can rock this look no matter their coloring.

Johanna was wearing a black top and pink skirt.  We decided to do purple to add a bright pop of color.  Johanna was okay with dramatic eyes but opted for more nude lips.  I noticed that this is a trend with most clients.  It's interesting to see how trends change.  I notice that I lot of my older clients like a bolder lip (red or plum) but they like more natural everywhere else.  Who knows that the trends will be like 15 years from now.

The final look!

I'm really loving the Cover FX foundation.  It covers really well and the shades are on point.  Look at the transformation it made on Johanna.  I love how it's a cream foundation so it can cover really well.  I'm thinking of investing into this brand as the newest foundation for my kit.  I'm hoping to get a good deal at IMATS.  I'll make sure to do a full review of their Big Cover Kit soon.

Here's What I Used (All MAC Unless Otherwise Mentioned):

EYES
parfait amour e/s
carbon e/s
tete a tint e/s
vanilla e/s
spiked brow pencil
Red Cherry #747 Short Lashes
feline kohl pencil

FACE

Shy Beauty Beauty Powder Blush
MAC Shadester Sculpting Powder

Till next time, Ciao Bellas!

This is gorgeous! You are really making me want to try the Cover FX foundation. I saw the Flawless Faces for All Races series by Victoria Stiles and it peaked my interest...now that you recommend it, think im gonna have to try it! Thanks for this!
