Arabic Wedding Day 3

Hi Bellas,

Wow is the weekend over already? LOL I had one of my line sisters in town so the whole weekend was spent doing sorority stuff. I'm pooped! Fortunately I had time to film and edit some videos.

Stay tuned for my video at Noon today...my MAC Colour Ready Haul. In the video you'll see me rocking the look from the supercool Colour Ready promo image. I'm trying to recover from a nasty allergic reaction I had from a lip product before I film any new videos, sigh. This happened to me a few months ago and I had to go to the dermatologist to get a steroid shot. Hopefully it gets better before I have to resort to that. I just need to stick to my aquaphor!

Meanwhile, I have day 3 of the Arabic wedding I did a few weeks ago. This was the day of the big reception. Let's first start with the sister. We wanted to do something with pinks for sure...I decided to combine it with a bright purple to give it a fun twist. I actually used my 96 palette from Stars Makeup Haven to achieve this look. She was still recovering from breaking out to facial threading so I airbrushed her this time around and it made her skin look perfect!

Next we have the mom. She also wanted to do a pink look so I added a smokey gray/black to the outside to give it some drama. This time around I used my cinema secrets foundation because I think it more accurately matched her skintone. Sometimes, shades can be limited for airbrush and I like to stick to traditional foundation. It all depends on the client.

This time around I also did the Maid of Honor. I discovered that she graduated a year ahead of me from my university. I knew she looked familiar...small world! She stated that she was concerned about her small eyes and I was like oh I got this, I'm asian, lol. We did a smokey pink/burgundy eye on her and she loved it! I also worked on her skin to cover up acne scars and marks...cinema secrets really covers anything!

Here comes the bride! This is the look we had planned during our bridal consultation. She picked the prettiest colors...shimmery pink, champagne, copper and gold. It really went with her outfit and she looked amazing!

Check out her stunning outfit!

Indian/Arabic style weddings are my favorite to do...there's more room for drama, color and creativity. Can't wait for the next one!
