MAC Makeup: Emmanuel Ungaro Haul

Hi Bellas,

How was your weekend? Mine was productive. I did a lot of cleaning and random errands I needed to run. Sunday I did a photoshoot for a new clothing line based on political and digital gravel type t-shirts. It came out pretty good despite really bumps along the way. You just never know how shoots are going to end up so you have to be flexible and ready for anything. I worked with a Filipino model named Stefanee...I almost felt like I was doing makeup on myself, lol. I can't wait to show you all the pictures. Meanwhile, I want to get another video tutorial out. I was thinking using my Suite Array eyeshadows but I think I'm going to skip this one because the general population (including myself) is not too excited about this line. Instead I think I'm going to try and get a Halloween look up. The only problem is that I had a major allergic reaction to my vaseline lip balm I was using! My lips have been a hot mess all weekend...swollen, bumps, and leaking. I know, gross right? I hope they get better soon cuz I'm freaking out. I think I might film something but leave my lips bare. What do you guys think?

Back to business...I went to MAC Thursday to check out MAC's newest collection--Emmanuel Ungaro. I've put myself on a budget lately so I wanted to swatch the products and only pick up a select few.

Check out my video haul review:

Here are my impressions:

LIPSTICKS: There were two in this collection-Pure Rose and Freckletone. They seemed like basic, pink and peachy/nude colors. Nothing out of the ordinary. Pretty though...but I skipped on these.

LIPGLASS: Pastel Emotion-A shimmery baby pink...really pretty, but again, probably dupeable. I usually look for limited edition products that jump out at me.

EYESHADOWS: Phloof, Mineral, Lilac Touch and Soft Flower. The colors were too muted and sheer for my taste. The only one that really showed up was Phloof which is a permanent color.

CREAM COLOUR BASES: Now this is what I'm talking about. I picked up both! They are both considered on the "not safe for use on eye" category, but I don't really pay attention to all that, lol. Fresh Morning is a perfect fleshy, nude color...almost similar to painterly paint pot. It comes out very opaque for a cream colour base. This could also make a great lip neutralizer and matte highlighter. Crushed Bougainvillea looks magenta in the pan, but swatches to a sheer berry flush. This would look great as a cheek or lip stain...or an eye base!

EYELINER: Auto-De-Blu Tecknahol liner...this kind of seemed like a random addition to the line. Skip.

BROW SET: Mink Brow Set...i'm a pencil and e/s brow kind of girl, skip!

MASCARA: Zoom lash in lofty brown...another filler item, skip!

Cream Colour Bases: Crushed Bougainvillea and Fresh Morning. See Thru Lip Color in Not So Shy

Swatches left to right: Not So Shy See Through Lip Color, Crushed Bougainvillea CCB, Fresh Morning CCB

In sum, this collection almost seemed like it should have come out in the spring, with it's light and pretty colors. I'm going to save my big cash for Manish, Red She Said, Little Darlings...and the million of other lines MAC is going to bombard us with!

Till next time, ciao bellas!
