How To: Day to Night Makeup Featuring Alcone at Home

Hi Bellas,

Happy Tuesday!  Every Tuesday I will bring you an Alcone at Home Post featuring some of my new favorite products.  Today, I'm showing you how to easily transition from day to night time look by using color!  This is a great post for both neutral and color wearers alike!  Check it out!

I started out with the same base for both.  RCMA for Alcone Foundation, Dermacolor for Alcone Concealer, set with Translucent Powder and Finished off with a Peachy Blush.  All of these products are in convenient steel pans to fit perfectly in a magnetic palette for easy everyday reach.  They're also neutral colors that pretty much go with every look.  I'm absolutely in love with the concealer and foundation combo - it looks great in person and on film.

The actual daytime look features nude eyes with a winged liner and nude lips.  Super easy to do.  I used #17, a nude shadow all over as a base and # 7, a medium brown to lightly contour the eyes.  I lined with Alcone's Liquid Liner pen which is super precise and thin to give you a detailed line.  You can also pop a black pencil in your waterline for extra dimension.  The lip color is called Grace, a nice pinky nude.  I don't mind wearing lashes during the day or night, and I paired these with Makeup For Ever Smoky Lash, an awesome super popular mascara.

Here's the daytime look.  Soft but with definition.  It's actually a great canvas to add more for a night time look.

To transition to night, I decided to do something different and add some color!  Night time gives you more freedom to play with your makeup.  All I did to transform the look was to add one eyeshadow and one lipstick.

I went for an amazing pop of color in shade #2...this is my new favorite red!  It's vampy, creamy and amazing.  You don't even need a lipliner to vamp it up, the color does it all on its own.  I used eyeshadow #15 a gorgeous eggplant to carve out my crease and lower lashline.  It's not your typical dark smokey eye...the addition of color adds something different to the look.  And I just love combining purple and red together.

Here's a shot of the day vs night.  The transition literally takes about 3 minutes.

You can carry all of your touch-up items in one convenient palette.  Concealer for spot touch up, translucent powder to touch up shine, and the shadows to intensify the eyes.  You can also use the brown shadow to fill in brows.

Isn't the palette cute?  It easily fits in your purse so you can transition from day to night while on the go.
