Lip of the Day: Lilac/Lavendar Drugstore Combo

Hi Bellas,

Happy Friday!  I wanted to have a video tutorial up for you today but was having technical difficulties.  Instead, I wanted to post a pretty drugstore lip combo and a really easy way to rock the lilac/lavendar lips that are super hot right now.  Check it out!
I think the whole lilac lip trend is super cute, but on my lips sometimes it ends up looking a bit chalky.  I decided to make it a little more wearable with the help of some lip liner.  In this case, I used Jordana Silver Lilac.  The packaging and name makes it appear like a light purple, but it's more of a light magenta.

I'm pairing it with a lilac lipstick - Revlon Gum Drop Lip Butter.  I would usually wear this pretty sheer in order to avoid that milky looking lip, but I wanted to wear it full coverage in this tutorial.
Here are the products swatched together.  The pencil is a lot darker than the lipstick.  The key is to lightly line the edges of the lip with the pencil and then apply the lipstick.  Blend the edges in super well.
The lipliner gives a bit of a warm pink to the lip but also makes keeps the purple tone.  This is actually a great lip for now and also to transition intro spring.  Remember, a lipliner can totally transform any lipstick.  Just play with your stash and experiment!

If you have any more lip combo requests, please leave them in the comments below!  Have a great weekend!
