Makeover - Natural, Glowing Beauty

Hi Bellas,

I'm back with another post!  I recently had a client come back to me for a makeover.  Gotta love repeat clients.  She wanted a really fresh, natural look for some head shots.  I was happy to oblige.  It's great to be able to do smokey, fun looks but a versatile artist can also turn out more subtle makeup applications.

My goal was to create extreme fresh, glowing skin and pick more subtle colors that would complement her complexion. The key to achieving a glow on women of color is to apply bronzer in a tone a bit more enhanced that the skin tone and pop some blush on top.  This is a trick I learned from the fabulous Sam Fine.  I recommend the Cargo Bronzer or Covergirl Queen Bronzers.
We went with soft smokey grays on the eyes and berry tones on the cheeks and lips.  Sorry if the picture is a bit out of focus.

Hope this was helpful.  Until next time, Ciao Bellas!

I love her make up. She and I are close to the same complexion also. I've had some difficulty trying to locate a bronzer or product that gives me that cheeky glow. I will definitely check out the Cargo and Cover Girl bronzers.

Beautiful application! I'm sure her headshots came out amazing!
What do you mean by choosing a bronzer that looks more "enhanced" than the natural skin tone? Do you mean just lighter?
