Mommy Mondays: Chocolate Lover's Lactation Smoothie

Hi Bellas,

I decided to start trying to incorporate more of my new mommy blogging on Mondays.  I thought I'd start my sharing a super yummy lactation smoothie recipe that my sister in law recommended.  If you're a chocolate lover this is for you!

Here are the ingredients:

3/4 cup water and 3/4 cup almond milk
1/2 a frozen banana
A handful of crushed ice
2 Tbsp Almond Butter
1 TBSP brewers yeast (I had to buy this on Amazon)
2 TBSP ground flax
1/2 cup rolled outs 
3 TBSP cocoa powder or your favorite protein powder
Squirt of sweetener -  honey or liquid stevia or agave

I drink this shake almost every day.  It's like a meal replacement and I think it's pretty yummy.

I use a milkshake straw to drink this because it can be a little thick.

Instructions:  Blend till smooth

This is a great recipe for anyone.  If you're not breastfeeding, you can always skip the yeast as it tends to make the shake a bit bitter.  Enjoy!
