Haul - ELF Goodies

Hi Bellas,

I wanted to share with you a few goodies that came in from ELF over the holidays.  I love ELF because it provides some really affordable alternatives to high end products.  There are definitely some jewels in their line worth checking out.

First up I received the Beautifully Precise Sponge Trio.  For $12 you get 3 blender sponges in a range of sizes.  These definitely remind me of the Beauty Blenders at first glance.  I used them a couple of times and notice that they are a bit more dense than the regular beauty blender.  It doesn't quite ponce as quickly as the original, in that the material is thicker like a memory foam which translates to less bounciness.  However, it does work to blend out makeup.  I'm not a huge fan of the white color because it stains easily with makeup.  But for $12 it's definitely a steal.

Next I received two lip products.  I really like the Velvet Matte Lipstick in Vampy Violet.  It is super dark and pigmented and makes a perfect vampy lip.  I would definitely try other shades for a steal at $3.

The Prism eyeshadow palette in Smoke ($10) gives a beautiful range of jewel toned shadows.  They are all metallic.

I'd applied these wet to get a more intense pigmentation, then pair them with some matte shadows to complete a smokey eye.

The Clay Eyeshadow Palette in Necessary Nudes ($6) is a convenient everyday makeup palette that you could throw in your makeup bag for work or school.

The swatches show medium pigmentation which I think is good for everyday so that you can do your makeup quickly and naturally.  This is also a great palette for beginners because these are essential shades and you can practice packing on color and blending without worrying about the colors getting too muddy.

You can find these products at www.elfcosmetics.com or at your local makeup aisle that sells ELF.  Stay tuned for my look tomorrow using some of these products!
