Sigma Dare Palette Tutorial - Smoking Fire Eyes

Hi Bellas,

I'm back with another tutorial and review!  This one is super exciting because it's my first tutorial on the new Sigma Eyeshadow Palettes.  There are three palettes and this one is featuring the red hot Dare palette.  I was really impressed by the quality of this new product line and came up with a look that I think you guys will really like...it's smoking hot for the summer, has color, but is totally wearable at the same time.

Check out the video!  I used a new camera, and some new lighting and editing.

This palette features a combination of warm, heat inspired tones...from burgundy to copper, yellow and orange.  I love how the colors in the palette really coordinate together well.  It irritates me when palettes have random colors.  I like to use a palette for my complete look...this one has your lighter highlight and browbone shades, your pops of color for the lid, and your darker contour shades- perfection!  The shades vary from matte, to light shimmer and satin.  I love how they didn't go overboard with the shimmer like they did in their last makeup collection.
Better yet, each set comes in a really nice palette with a mirror.  It's very sturdy and the packaging is gorgeous.  Each set also comes with its own dual ended Sigma brush.  Genius!  It's not like a typical throw away brush that you see in palettes; this is a really nice, quality brush.  I actually just pull it out of the palette and keep it in my brush stash.
Here are some close ups of the colors.  The colors are cheekily named after the Dare theme.
Most of the colors in this palette show up really well.  Some are less pigmented than others such as the color on the far right.  I also noticed that the yellow is a little chalky.  I really like the highlight colors in this palette- they give you a light pink (chase) and a creamy tone (escape).  The red, burgundy and rust tones are super gorgeous and pigmented.  All the colors are really easy to blend.

I was surprised at how much I liked this palette.  I don't often use reddish tones on myself but I'm glad this palette opened my eyes to the gorgeous color combos.  I can see this being great for blue eyes as well.  I really like the Sigma Palettes and totally recommend them.  I think they're affordable at $35 for a nicely designed palette of 8 shades and a high quality double ended brush.

You know! This was my least fave palette when I first heard and saw the palettes on youtube, BUT I think it looks great! Hmm...I just might have to rethink that! Great look!

You created such a beautiful and well blended look! And that shade 'Reveal' is to die for, I love coppery/red tones this season for some reason (heh, that rhymed). Thank you for the post and video!
