My Hair! Cut and Color Process

Hi Bellas,

I'm back with another video.  I get quite a few questions about my hair and I decided to go ahead and just film the process.  I brought my camera along with me to my last hair appointment so you can see my cut and color.  This new camera I have has awesome video quality.  I'm loving the new brightness and clarity - but you gotta watch the video to see it.
Check out the video!

I get my hair cut and colored at Toni Guy Salon in the Northpoint Mall of Alpharetta, GA.  I do a base color of chocolate brown and then my hair is highlighted with golden blond on the top.  This time around, my hair came out a little darker but I'm cool with that.  My hair actually lightened a little bit more after a few washes...it looks darker in these pics below.

Here are a few tips I learned during my visit:
  • If you have highlights, you should try to get touched up ever 6 - 8 weeks
  • If you get your hair colored, make sure the stylist doesn't double process your hair...they should touch up the highlights and then get the roots in between.  That way you don't double dye your hair - this encourages breakage.
If you're in Atlanta and you are looking for a good Colorist, I definitely recommend Erika.  Let me know if you need the contact info :)

Ciao Bellas!
