Nume Clipless Curling Wand Review & Curly Hair Looks!

Hi Bellas,

I'm back with another review!  In case you haven't noticed, I like to wear my hair curly a lot of the time.  I'm not much of a flat iron girl...I prefer either bouncy blow outs or curled styles.  I recently had a chance to review a clipless curling wand.  I've been meaning to talk about this tool for a while and this gives me a chance to do it.  In this review I also show you to curly hair styles I came up with.

I chose this product off the NumeStyle website.  Out of all the flat irons, hair products and blow dryers, these curling wands appealed to me most because they're the most unique.  It retails for $200 at http://www.numestyle.com/shop/products/Curling-Wand.html#

I chose the largest size at 25mm.  I actually have a smaller curling wand from another brand but I wanted a bigger barrel because my hair is pretty long and thick.

I like how the barrel has a really long cord, and it attaches at the base with a swivel feature.  That way, you don't get any annoying cord tangling.

There is only an off an on switch, no temperature gauge.  I was a little surprised to see that there was no light to indicate whether or not the instrument was hot or even on or off.

In the package you also get a heat protective glove. I definitely recommend that you wear the glove if you're not used to using a clipless curling iron.  Use the gloved hand to wrap your hair around the barrel.  The iron gets really hot and you can burn your fingers if you're not careful.  I'm usually pretty good with curling irons but I burned myself really badly on my wrist with this one.  I won't make that mistake again.

I was actually really pleased with the curls I got. With this tool, I was able to create big bouncy girls that stayed in place without spray.  I like how the curls really last for a few days with these instruments.  Using this curl also gives you nice volume at the top of the head which I really like.  Here are two different looks I created with the curling wand:

So here are my final thoughts:

PROS
  • heats up really fast
  • swivel cord prevents tangling
  • tool gives a nice curl

CONS
  • no light switch to indicate whether the product is on or off
  • there should be a heat pad that comes with this product because it doesn't sit completely upright and you don't want to burn your counter
  • this tool takes getting used to, be careful or you'll get burned!

Would I recommend?  Yes.  If you like to curl your hair, you need a clipless curling wand in your life.  You'll get curls like no other.  This is priced accordingly to other styles out there.
