Products I Regret Buying - The Actor Bag

Hi Bellas,

I'm back with a new kind of post.  I've seen some YouTube gurus post videos on products they regret buying.  Sometimes I'll like a product at first glance but notice that later on it doesn't really work out for me.  I am offering completely honest feedback on items that I've purchased with my own money.  I hope these posts are helpful for some of you who are deciding whether or not to purchase a product.

DLSH The Actor Bag
I had seen other gurus talk about this bag.  It seemed like a great idea...in practice.  Once I started using it though, I felt different.  The point of this product is that you use it as a set bag and stick all your touch up items in it.  It has a lot of great features - pocket for tissue box, empty magnetic palette secured with velcro, strap to hold foundation, clear removable pouch, different compartments, brush holder, hand strap to help you use it like a palette...

However, the features didn't work out because of one big design flaw - it's too heavy!  Despite all the pockets, I actually find that you can't fit all that much in it.  I wanted to stick my blot powders and some powder puffs in it along with lip products.  This is all I really use to touch-up.  However, I couldn't really fit all of that.  After you pack stuff in it, it's way to heavy for you to hold on your wrist like it's intended.  Like I said it's a cool idea but I didn't find it practical to use.

For my last gig, I ended up just using a clear shoulder bag and it worked better for touch-ups.  It's also a lot cheaper.  I think i'll just pull out the magnetic palette, which is really nice on it's own, and use it separately in its kit.  The man who discovered the company (met him at IMATS) was absolutely lovely though.  This is an honest review.  Hope it helped some of you.

If you are interested in buying this product, you can find it online.  I bought mine from Frends Beauty Supply at IMATS Pasadena last summer.  It retails for $49.99.

Hope this helps some of you!  Let me know your thoughts on this post in the comments.  Ciao bellas!
