Hi Bellas,

Lately I've been getting a lot of questions about concealing undereye circles. This is something that took me a little while to master; like many I hated that dreaded gray, ashy look that still remained after concealing. You've seen many of my before and afters where dark circles can simply erase with the right products and application. I did a concealing video about a year ago but the quality and process wasn't that great.

This is my own personal concealing process. Take a look!

Eye cream is important for prepping your eye. This will moisturize the delicate skin to prevent a dried out look. This also helps prevent puffiness and help to lessen darkness over time. I like MAC's Fast Response cream since it has a silicone type feel. It helps to fill in fine lines and wrinkles in the skin so that concealer sits on top.

The key to erasing dark circles is a corrector. Many of you can use an NW shade from MAC since it has those peachy undertones. For fair skin - go with something pink, for medium skin - peach/salmon, for darker skin - orange. This color works to cancel out blue/green/purple in the skin. Pat it (don't swipe) on sparingly, concentrating it on the darkest areas. Use a synthetic brush or your finger to blend out the edges. I use Bobbi Brown corrector in dark peach. Other great correctors include NW shades of concealer from MAC, MUFE correctors, and MAC studio finish color correctors. Take into account that cream offers the most coverage.

For some, this may be optional. A concealer 2-3 shades lighter than your skin tone finishes off the concealing process. It helps to lighten and brighten the undereye area, giving the illusion of a wide awake look. It also helps to cancel any remnants of the orange toned corrector. I use Bobbi Brown concealer in Beige.

Lastly, this is a step that many forget to do. If you find that your concealer doesn't last throughout the day, make sure you're setting it with powder. I go with a light, transparent powder from Camera Ready Cosmetics applied sparingly with a brush. The powder will set the product underneath. If you notice any lines forming at this point, the powder will also help to even it out.

Hi Bellas!

I wanted to show you some pics of a Makeup Bar I did a few weeks ago. I enlisted fellow blogger Joy from RockStarMuA to come out and assist. It was a lot of fun but tiring too! This makeup bar had a vixen theme...the girls took a lot of picture in lingerie as gifts to their boos for Valentines Day. I couldn't show too many of the pics out of respect to their privacy, he he.

Check out the setup:

Before the madness

After - this is what happens when you're trying to hurry and do multiple ladies at once!

Check out the tat I did. I cropped the picture to give some deceny to the shot. What you can't see is that I did two of these tats...one on each booby! The stencil is an ink transfer filled in with Temptu Dura Color. Looks real huh?

Here I am filling in the tattoo.

Here's one of the ladies I did. She informed me from the beginning that she doesn't like makeup, lol. I knew that was going to be a challenge. I convinced her to go with a smokey look using grays instead of black to tone it down. One thing she told me which I thought was funny was "Did you notice that there are two dark lines on my nose?" He he, I told her "Yup, it's to contour your nose." Fun times.

Here I am touching her up after a costume change. She was wayyyy taller than me so I made her stoop down and balance on my shoulders lol.

I only have one of the shots to show you cuz a lot of the poses were lingerie shots...trying to keep this blog PG!

Here's another before and after. I had worked on this client before at another makeup bar. She wanted some fun color this time. My fav! I really worked on her skin to give her a new canvas.

What you couldn't see were her shoes...tres mignon!

This is a shot of me and joy after the job...tired! lol

Hi Bellas,

I've been making a diligent effort to stay more in touch with pop culture for possible makeup tutorials. I've gotten a couple of requests to do Ciara. I was watching 106 & Park and saw her new video Never Ever with Jeezy. I liked the softness in her look, particularly the lip color! I just got a pink combo from the MAC Creamsheen Collection similar to this so I definitely wanted to rock it in a tutorial. Luckily I was able to dupe her eyeshadow combination. I even curled my hair for y'all!

Check out my video tutorial!

The key to this look is a matte face, soft brownish gray smokey eyes, and pink lips. It's actually a really simple look.

Today will be a short post. I actually am calling out sick today because I'm feeling under the weather. It actually snowed here in Atlanta this weekend, I can't believe it. I think the weather change messed me up though...or it could have been playing in the snow that got to me, lol.

I'm going to show you some pics of me and the BF in the snow since it rarely happens here in Atlanta!

Yay it's snowing! We busted out our winter gear for this one!
