My Own Custom Fragrance - Fusion Perfumery Review

Hi Bellas,

I'm back with another review!  I don't do too many perfume reviews because honestly I'm pretty sensitive to most fragrances.  However, I was interested in doing a Fusion Perfumery review because I actually got to pick out my very own, custom fragrance.

I'm all for supporting women entrepreneurs and the creator is Atlanta Native Nina Settle.  She turned her passion into a career and decided to make her own perfumes after getting tired of spending big bucks on department store fragrances.  I absolutely love the idea of having a custom scent.

Here's how to pick your fragrance:
STEP 1 Decide what kind of fragrance you are creating. Is it a feminine, masculine, or unisex fragrance.
STEP 2 Decide what size bottle of fragrance you want to create
STEP 3 Design your scent! Pick 8 or less scents from the fragrance list. In order to have a well balanced fragrance pick some top notes, middle notes and base notes.

There are 79 fragrances to choose from including types like Rain, Cantaloupe, Fresh Cut Grass, Dogwood, Chocolate, Ylang Ylang, Musk, White Tea, Hydrangea and Amber just to name a few.

I went for a sweet, tropical scent and picked 8 scents including:  Lemon, Pear, and White Tea

The scent turned out sweeter than I expected but it's actually really nice.  It reminds me of a body spray from Victoria's Secret but the scent lasts longer and isn't over the top.  It's great for me since i'm really sensitive to perfumes and get headaches easily.

I also received a bunch of sample perfumes with combos that she thought I'd like. I love the pear combo and these are perfect for travel or keeping in the purse.

PROS
-customized scents
-great customer service
-free samples
-many different scents to choose from

CONS
-basic packaging, sticker on bottle can probably wear off
-spritzer nozzle could be a little more fine
-does not come in a box, just baggy

Do I Recommend?  Definitely!  It's a reasonable price and what's better than having your own custom scent so that you don't have to spell like everyone else.

Prices range from $7.99 for a 6ML perfume oil to $28.99 for 2 oz of Eau Du Parfum

You can create your own custom perfume at http://www.fusionperfumery.com/

If you're in Atlanta you can even contact her to come and do a perfume party for you and your girls, what a cute idea!
