I'm back with another event post. All of my friends know that i'm a night owl. Yet a couple of weeks ago, I willingly woke myself to be at a 7:30am event on a Saturday morning. Why you ask? Well to attend a Nordstrom Beauty Trend Show! This was definitely something worth waking up early for. It was pretty awesome - beauty products galore! My local Nordstrom (Perimeter Mall in Atlanta) is one of 22 across the country that hosts this runway show featuring beauty trends from our favorite brands.

Different brands brought representatives and models to the runway to feature fall's latest beauty trends. Everyone you can think of was there from MAC, Clarisonic, Dior, Clarins, Anastasia, and more! Unfortunately I only got this blurry pic on my phone.
I picked up some great tips and we even got a goody bag with a sample of the infamous La Mer beauty cream (honestly it was pretty good, but not worth the $ in my opinion) and a fan brush from Laura Gellar. I've already used this bag several times...it's great for travel!
They had a lot of great deals. I picked up this YSL set which was a steal considering that the brand is pretty pricey. This set was about $60 for 4 products - mascara, concealer pen, eye pencil and eye makeup remover. I've always wanted to get into this brand and this set was too good to pass up. So far I've tried the black pencil which is amazing! It applies like a Kohl but dries like a waterproof gel liner. It's definitely going to make a favorites video. I also had a chance to finally try the infamous Touche Eclat - I can see what all the hype is about!
This was a really fun event to attend. After the the runway portion you could make appointments with the various brands to get consultations. My friend Melissa came and picked up an eye cream from Perricone MD and she says after two weeks she already sees huge results.
It was a really fun event especially if you're a beauty product junkie. Thank you Nordstrom for the invite. Can't wait till next year!
