Can you believe fall is already here? While the weather is finally cooling down, things have been non-stop at Makeup by Ren Ren! This summer was a total whirlwind—I’ve been bouncing from crazy SFX transformations at DragonCon to all the gorgeous bridal glam that comes with my favorite (and second busiest!) wedding month.
It’s been such a fun, creative ride lately. Here’s a little peek at what I’ve been up to!
DragonCon: Bringing Characters to Life
DragonCon is always a highlight of my year, and this season was no exception. It's one of the most popular CosPlay conventions in the world and takes place right in my city of Atlanta. I spent the 1st week of September diving deep into the world of Special FX makeup. There is nothing quite like the challenge of transforming a person into a creature, a warrior, or a piece of living art. Using a mix of prosthetics, intricate paintwork, and a lot of imagination, I helped my clients bring their most ambitious cosplay visions to life on the streets of Atlanta.
Education and Elegance at the Atlanta Comfort Conference
Shortly after the excitement of DragonCon, I had the pleasure of attending and working at the Atlanta Comfort Conference. This event was a wonderful opportunity to share my passion for the transformative power of makeup for transgender women.
During the conference, I led seminars focused on feminine makeup application, teaching techniques to enhance natural features and build confidence through artistry. To cap off the event, I provided makeup services for the Gala, ensuring my clients felt radiant and sophisticated for their big evening.
The October Bridal Rush
While many associate June with weddings, October is actually my second busiest bridal month of the year! There is something so magical about an autumn wedding—the crisp air and warm tones make for a stunning backdrop. I am currently in the thick of it, working closely with my beautiful brides to ensure their look is timeless, flawless, and exactly what they’ve dreamed of for their special day.
Looking Ahead: Now Booking for 2026 and 2027
