I'm back with another makeup post. I had a model with some challenging skin that I wanted to share. I know a lot of people suffer with acne and scarring and I thought it would be helpful to break down how I use makeup to cover it. Check it out!
Here are 4 tips for flawless makeup application on acne prone skin.
Tip 1
Prep the skin. Oftentimes the area might be dry from acne medications and it can also be oily which caused clogged pores and pimples. It's also nice to apply a setting or barrier spray to protect the skin from makeup.
Tip 2
Color correct. Use a green corrector for acne that is red and a peach to orange corrector for darker spots. Apply in a patting motion. If the spot is stubborn you can set it with powder.
Tip 3
Foundation. Use the right coverage where needed. I used a cream foundation for full coverage on spots like acne and scars. I then topped it with a lighter weight silicone foundation using my airbrush machine. That way, I didn't remove any coverage and the silicone formula smoothed and evened her skin tone.
Tip 4
Set. Use powder to lock the foundation in place. Use a powder puff or a brush to pat or tap the powder in place as to not remove coverage. Finish with a setting spray to ensure that makeup lasts. I also like using a setting spray to take away the excess powder to give the skin a natural finish.
Hope you guys enjoyed this post! Let me know if you want more beauty breakdowns.

My dermatologist recommended Acne treatment of Dermal md to me to help with acne and acne scarring. It works great, but because I have sensitive skin I had to work my way into it. Every 3 nights, then every other night. Now I can use it every night, but I need to moisturize after to ensure my skin doesn't dry out.
