Makeover: Everyday Makeup for Mature Skin

Hi Bellas,

Sorry for the delay, but i'm back with another makeover!  This is a makeup look that I shot at Industry Makeup Academy.  My goal with this makeup series is to cover women of all ages, races and types.  Today's makeover was focused on an everyday makeup look for women with mature skin.  This is quick look that anyone can do with minimal product.  Check it out!

The focus on mature skin is knowing what products to use that are appropriate for that age type.  Generally, you'll be dealing more with loose skin and fine lines.  You'll want moisturizing products and avoid any high shimmer.

I focused on correcting discoloration on the client with corrector and spot treated any dark spots with concealer.  Then I set her entire face with a pressed mineral powder - voila, foundation done!  It's quick and not too heavy for everyday.

The eyes are pretty simple.  First, I applied a brown brow pencil for a quick fill in.  On the eyes, I applied a neutral brown to her entire lid for a bit of shadowing.  Then I used a dark brown pencil (more subtle than black for everyday) and messily applied it to her upper and lower lashlines, and smudged it with brown shadow.  The line doesn't have to be perfect since you smudge it anyways, great for quick makeup!  Set with a bit of mascara and you're good to go.

Apply blush for some color and then move to lips.  I used a lip pencil close to her skin tone to prevent any feathering and to even out the lip line.  Then apply a cream based lipstick in a similar tone for moisture and a bit of healthy shine. That's it!
