Hi Bellas,

I was cleaning out some old blog posts and found a draft of a post from years ago that I wrote when I was going through a depressed stage in life.  I obviously kept it because I knew I'd want it for another rainy day.  After reading through these personal feelings, I decided to publish it.  Because I know someone out there will appreciate it.  Take a look!

Hi Bellas,

I just wanted to take a minute to personally say Happy New Year.  I wish you all many wishes for the year and hope that you reach all your goals.  2017 is the first year that I will be a full time Make Up Artist and I can't wait to see what that journey holds.  I plan on making a vision board this year and I hope you all do the same.  Here is a link to a blog article from years ago where I show you how to create your very own vision board.  Here is the Vision Board I created from years ago:

I hope you can do the same.  Happy New Year Everyone!

Hi Bellas,

Happy Monday.  I thought I'd start the week with an inspirational post to get us started on the right foot.  Last week, I attended the Essence and Johnson and Johnson Path to Power:  Lessons in Self-Care event in Atlanta.  It was an awesome event and just the thing I needed to learn how to better take care of myself while succeeding in business any my personal life.  For important life lessons, check this post out!

Hi Bellas,

Happy Happy New Years!  I hope you all had a fabulous and fun time last night ringing in the new year.  Now that we're in 2013, let's start it off on the right foot.  I've got a to-do list of some things you can do now to get you ready for the best year yet.  Check it out!

Hi Bellas,

Thank you to everyone for the support for my friends and I in the Red Bull Soap Box Race.  We got third place for fan favorite!  I just had to show you some of the awesome pictures from the event and I also plan on having a few more fun posts featuring the costume makeup (batman themed) I did!

Hi Bellas,

Sorry I've been a bit MIA and tardy in posting posts.  I'm in the midst of finals, just one more to go!  I'm also out of town for a few days in St. Louis on business.  In the meantime, I wanted to share some fun pictures with you all.

We have a conference at a well-known Electronics Corporation Headquarters.  It's a beautiful business campus but best yet, they have real turkeys roaming around on the site!

I'm also super fortunate because I got to coordinate the hotel accommodations and I get to stay the Ritz Carlton for the first time, I feel fancy!

For entertainment one night, we actually got to host our clients to dinner at the St. Louis Cardinals Stadium.  We actually got to have dinner set up on home plate.  Here I am in the dug-out.  Pretty nice!

Anywho, I should be back to ATL soon and plan on filming a lot of videos, taking lots of pics for blog posts especially now that I'll be off of school for a month.

Till next time, Ciao bellas!

Hi Bellas,

It's a New Year!  Ahhh how refreshing.  I don't know about you all, but I am so excited to see what 2012 has to offer.  2011 definitely had its challenges and i'm ready for this year to be just plain awesome.  Last year was my first time making a vision board with my goals and dreams for the year.  This year, you know I had to do the same!

Hi Bellas,

I'm back with another video.  This is only the second tag video I've done about of the 360 plus videos up on my YouTube page.  Today it's time for the Boyfriend Tag!  I got Mike to take part of this fun video.  It's a nice break from makeup and a great way to get to know both of us a little better.

Hi Bellas,

I'm currently on vacation spending time with the BF's family but I wanted to wish all of you a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Kwanzaa and Happy Holidays!

In the meantime, check out this Christmas Ornament from my parent's Christmas tree.  My brother was home visiting and took a picture and tagged me in facebook, he he.

I'll be back in a few days with more posts!  I hope you're having a Happy Holiday Season!

Hi Bellas,

I apologize for no post yesterday but unexpectandly I found myself at the hospital for 14 hours yesterday with 1.5 hours of sleep because my bestie gave birth to her baby boy!  It was an amazing experience and perfect timing for this entry!  This post isn't really beauty related, but I definitely wanted to share it with you all.  A few weeks ago, my friends and I threw out best friend a baby shower.  It was a fabulous time and I wanted to show you all pics!  Hopefully this will give you guys ideas if you happen to be planning a shower.  Oh and did I mention that all of the Shower Planners wore matching red lips?  he he

Hi Bellas,

I've recently noticed some buzz around the internet on creating Vision Boards.  In particular, fellow blogger and YouTuber Scandalous Beauty aka Erin really got me pumped about it. These are boards with pictures and words that symbolize our goals.  It's the perfect time to do it...with the beginning of the year already started and we're all making New Years Resolutions.  I truly believe in dreaming big and working towards your goals.  With this project, you can materialize your dreams onto paper and have a daily reminder of what you what to achieve.  I wanted to share you my vision board and show you how to do your own!

Hi Bellas!

Last night was the MAC event for the Makeup Artists Collection preview. It was jampacked full of makeup junkies and I got home and was pooped! LOL. That's why I'll be waiting to film the video tonight. Meanwhile, I still haven't posted these pics from my 4th of July Trip to Savannah with the BF.

Not really makeup related, but take a looksy!
Weird lady giving us the ghost tour. Savannah is one of the most haunted cities in the US. The ghost tour was a rip off though...snooze fest.

They told us that if you take pictures in this haunted house we went too, you might be able to catch a ghost on camera. My BF swears that in person, you couldn't see the face of the women in the window on the left. But the camera picked it up. I'm not sure if he imagined that though, lol.

Another ghost tour guide. He liked to bang that stick to make loud noises and scare us.

Here I am with my Sex on the Beach drink at Wet Willies. It was so yummy! I don't usually even get that at the bar, but this one was so good. Savannah is one of the few cities that let's you walk on the street with open cups of alcohol.

Here's my BF trying to be cute by drawing Ren Heart Mike on a store window :)

Night number 2 at Wet Willies! lol I'm rocking a smokey eye using Stars Makeup Haven Single Shadows. No lashes because the wind was making my eyes tear up...they would have blown right off!

In front of the "haunted mansion". Yah, just because you turn off the lights in a house doesn't make it scary.

Okay okay, I was a little bit scared in the beginning.

BF and I on the Ghost Tour trolley. It was hot on that bus, good thing for those fans.

Now this is what I'm talking about! We can to Savannah knowing we would pig out on some sea food.

Fiddlers Crab shack is an affordable and great place for seafood lovers.

We also went to Tybee Island for a day on the beach. My BF took this picture through his sunglasses to give it that blue filter look. Too bad someone stole his sunglasses off the beach that same day, lol. When we were waist deep in the water, I saw fins about 10 feet away! I freaked out thinking they were sharks, but there was a group of dolphins!

Foot shot!

Crazy faces time! We're corny...

Inside our hotel room at the Hilton Desoto. It was pretty nice and conveniently in the middle of Historic Downtown. I would recommend!

Thanks for reading guys!

Hi bellas!

Today will be a short post. I actually am calling out sick today because I'm feeling under the weather. It actually snowed here in Atlanta this weekend, I can't believe it. I think the weather change messed me up though...or it could have been playing in the snow that got to me, lol.

I'm going to show you some pics of me and the BF in the snow since it rarely happens here in Atlanta!

Yay it's snowing! We busted out our winter gear for this one!

My lil gangsta ninja ;)

Our lil pregnant snowman :)

Awww I feel like a kid again! You're never to old to play!

Snow angels!

Okay I'm wet and tired now look...probably why I got sick, lol.

I think he's ready to go inside too, lol.

Check out my Ciara video on YouTube today guys...time to go back to bed!

Hi Bellas!

Happy Friday Bellas! Any big plans? I'm going out tonight with my man to celebrate our anniversary. We're doing dinner at our favorite seafood restaurant and ordering the $90 King Platter, woohoo! We did that for our anniversary last year so you'll probably see similar pics, lol. Since our anniversary is so close to x-mas and valentines day, we like to keep it simple and spend money on going out together instead of gifts. Any suggestions for a makeup look?

I don't know if I mentioned this before, but my laptop had been broken for the last two weeks. Fortunately, my boyfriend's old school laptop was working and I had saved a lot of posts on blogger so i've been able to function okay. On my computer, I had some pics from New Years that I wanted to share with you.

As I mentioned before, I was inspired by MACNC40 to do my New Year's Look. She did an icy blue look which I loved! I didn't do it exactly like hers but I pretty much used the exact same products.

Close up eye shot!

Shot before dinner

Another one for yah

My group of friends headed out to a Tapas Restaurant and bar before the New Year's countdown. It was a really chic and trendy new restaurant and we got our grub on!

Group shot! Don't you love the ethnic diversity going on?

Customary couple's shot :)

Later on, we went home and changed and met up at my bestie's house to ring in the countdown. Here's me and the boo again :) This is prior to drinks and guitar hero and then me falling asleep while everyone played, lol.

That's all for now folks! Till next time, Ciao bellas!

Hi Bellas!

Friday at last! This week actually flew by for me.

Last night I had a photoshoot and didn't get to bed till after 1am! Tireddddd...but the shoot came out really well. I did a look on the model that I loved. I used blacktrack fluidline to contour her eyes and came out with a really Mod inspired look. I'm excited to get that one in my portfolio. I couldn't believe that the model was only 16! I guess I thought she was older because she was so tall. But I will say, her skin took to makeup nicely...no bags or dark circles that I needed to worry about covering up. Sighh...I miss those days, lol. I'll post pics soon!

This weekend I'll be busy again...Friday through Sunday I'll be shadowing a seasoned makeup artist and learning her trade. I'll keep you updated!

In the meanwhile, here's an email that my bf sent me with some really great advice to get you in the right state of mind for the weekend:

AWESOME ADVICE!!!!!
1. Take a 10-30 minute walk every day. And while you walk, smile. It is the ultimate anti-depressant.

2. Sit in silence for at least 10 minutes each day. Buy a lock if you have to.

3. When you wake up in the morning complete the following statement, 'My purpose is to __________ today. I am thankful for_________ _____'

4. Eat more foods that grow on trees and plants and eat less food that is manufactured in plants.

5. Drink green tea and plenty of water. Eat blueberries, wild Alaskan salmon, broccoli, almonds & walnuts.

6. Try to make at least three people smile each day.

7. Don't waste your precious energy on gossip, energy vampires, issues of the past, negative thoughts or things you cannot control. Instead invest your energy in the positive present moment.

8. Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a college kid with a maxed out charge card.

9. Life isn't fair, but it's still good.

10. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone.

11. Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does.

12. You don't have to win every argument. Agree to disagree.

13. Make peace with your past so it won't spoil the present.

14. Don't compare your life to others. You have no idea what their journey is all about.

15. No one is in charge of your happiness except you.

16. Frame every so-called disaster with these words: 'In five years, will this matter?'

17. Forgive everyone for everything.

18. What other people think of you is none of your business.

19. GOD heals everything.

20. However good or bad a situation is, it will change.

21. Your job won't take care of you when you are sick. Your friends will. Stay in touch!!!

22. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need.

23. Each night before you go to bed complete the following statements: I am thankful for __________. Today I accomplished _________.

24. Remember that you are too blessed to be stressed.

'The happiest people don't necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the best of everything they have.'

Hi Bellas,

So I realized this is a little late, but I thought, better late than never! As you know, I went back home to Orlando for a long 4th of July weekend. My parents still live there and the BF and I have been meaning to take a little vacay...Orlando was perfect! Free lodging, free food, quality time...can't go wrong with that.

Here's a few pics from the weekend.

The ride going there was pretty smooth. It's about 7 hours and it went by really fast. My boyfriend and I spent the whole time chatting about our childhoods so I guess the time flew by. Florida is random with rainshowers...you can drive 1 mile and be in and out of rain patches. It's crazy! Here's a rainbow we saw on the way there :)

First off, I rocked cornrows for most of the weekend! I loved it! My good friend Cindy is taking classes in hair and needed to practice on my "soft hair" lol...she's using to braiding african-american hair so she told me that my hair was more challenging. I can understand that, cuz my hair can be slippery getting in those braids. Now you see how my hair was so crimpy in the pussy cat dolls video. By the way, on my eyes I'm wearing all four colors of the pandamonium quad. And like Emilee said, "I'm not naked, I'm wearing a tube top!"

Did you know that Orlando has the biggest McDonalds in the world? My BF and I saw it on the food channel one day so we made a conscious effort to stop by there and take pics! They have gourmet food on the menu, a full arcade, two stories, gotta love it!

Me and my baby...

Me and my girl Cindy on the bikes!

My home in Orlando is only about 30 minutes from Daytona beach. I never really used to go there growing up because it seemed too touristy. However, since my BF is technically a tourist, it was okay!

Gotta wear my big hat for sun protection! I never would have done that if I hadn't started reading these beauty blogs, lol

The sky is so blue!

Check out the cool bikes and buggies you could rent...too bad we're too cheap for that!

Lastly, me, mom, dad, and their crazy dog badger. He looks harmless but he hates everybody except my mom, dad, and my brother.
