Hi Bellas,

Bridal makeup season is already here, and whether you are a makeup artist or a bride-to-be, it's time to get your makeup game on point. As a Makeup Artist, it's important to understand the trends, tips, and tricks that can take your bridal makeup artistry to the next level. And as a bride, it's important to know how to find the perfect bridal makeup artist who will make you look and feel your best on your special day.

Hi Bellas,

When it comes to wedding makeup, there are certain tips and tricks you can use to make sure your bridal look is on point for the big day. If you’re looking for some tips and advice on how to apply makeup for a winter wedding, look no further. Here’s a list of makeup ideas and advice from our team that will make sure your Winter bridal makeup looks perfect!

Choose Long-Lasting Products
The last thing you want is to have your makeup start to fade or smudge after an hour or two on the dance floor. To avoid this, it’s important to choose long-lasting products that won't need frequent touch ups throughout the night. Look for products with staying power such as waterproof eyeliners and mascaras, transfer proof lipsticks, and long-wear foundations. It’s also important to ensure that all products are well blended so that they don’t separate or flake off during the night.

Go Bold!
When it comes to Winter weddings, a great option is to go bold! This is especially true in the winter months when many people opt for darker colors like burgundy, navy, or black. A bold eye look helps create drama and adds depth to your overall look. Plus, darker colors will help draw attention away from any redness in your skin due to cold weather conditions outside. If a dark eye isn't your style, you can instead go for a lighter shimmer eye and vampy lip combo. Reds and burgundies are classic options for lips.

Choose Hydrating Products
The cold winter air can be drying on skin so it's important to choose hydrating products whenever possible. Look for ingredients like hyaluronic acid which will help keep skin hydrated throughout the night without feeling greasy or heavy. Additionally, you may want to consider adding an extra layer of protection against dryness with a lightweight but hydrating facial mist that can be applied before applying foundation as well as throughout the night if needed.

Achieving flawless makeup at a winter wedding doesn't have to be difficult; it just takes some planning ahead and knowing what kind of products work best in colder temperatures! By following these tips from your experts at IMA, you'll be able to apply your bridal makeup with confidence knowing that it will stay put all night long - no matter how much dancing and celebrating you do! Good luck!

Hi Bellas,

I'm finally back with another makeover, sorry for the delay!  Today's client is a bride getting ready for her Spring wedding.  She was a referral from a previous bride.  She's not a makeup wearer so we went for something super fresh and natural.  We put a little shimmer on the lids, a natural false lash and then focused on perfecting her skin.  Lastly, we put a glossy lip color similar to her natural lips and voila, fresh and glowing bride!

Stay tuned for makeup on the big day!

Hi Bellas,

I wanted to share another bridal makeup trial with you.  My lovely client was actually the sister of a former bride of mine and she came back for her wedding.  Love keeping it in the family. We went for a very pretty, fresh makeup for her wedding look and then transitioned it into something smokey and sexy for her bridal shower.  Check it out!

Hi Bellas,

Happy Friday!  I have a makeover for you from a recent Indian Wedding.  This is the first of three looks and the most color!  My bride was a very natural girl...doesn't do much with hair and makeup.  It was fun introducing her to more options with makeup.  Check it out!

Hi Bellas,

I've been wanting to post my wedding video for a while but I decided to do it on my one year wedding anniversary.  I'm a few days late because the last week was a whirlwind as I threw a huge week of surprises for my husband's 40th birthday, then came thanksgiving and then our anniversary.  Whew!  I hope you all enjoy this personal snippet into our most special day, enjoy!

Shout out to Cores Films for doing an amazing job capturing our beautiful day at Melia Resort in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.
