Hi Bellas,

Today you get a double post - both outfit and face of the day!  I recently rocked a really fun, summery look for a day out for my beastie's birthday.  I also got to play a bit more with colored contacts.  Check it out!

Hi Bellas!

I've been wearing makeup more often the last two weeks since I'm testing out products that I want to review. I want to give you a sneak peak into some products from Steelo Cosmetics.

Honestly, I wasn't familar with this brand before, but now that I've tested the products out I am absolutely blown away. Their eyeshadows are definitely on par with MAC, some of them even better. This has got to be number one or two of the top makeup brands I've reviewed so far.

This weekend my boyfriend had one of his college friends come into town. He was bringing his new girlfriend on their mini vacay and we got the chance to meet her. Of course I wanted to look as hot as possible, lol. We went out Saturday night and I opted for a sultry, smokey eye. I try not to wear super bright colors when I first meet someone because I don't want to freak them out with my dramatic, drag style makeup, lol. However, I love how this look came out! I used some products from MAC, some from Steelo. Take a looksey!

I also wore my new gray circle lenses that Anna had sent to me...wow, colored contacts make such a difference with eye makeup...sexy!

Here's What I Used:

EYES
-Steelo eyeshadow base in light
-light cream nude color on inner lid (I used MAC blanc type)
-Steelo damage e/s on outer V (dupe for MAC beautymarked)
-light brown e/s above crease to blend (I used MAC soft brown)
-Steelo eyebrow pencil in Earth Brown
-Steelo eyeshadaow in Coffee to fill in brows

FACE
-Steelo foundation primer
-Eve Pearl salmon concealer in medium
-Graftobian foundation and powder
-MAC beauty powder in Summer Rose
-Steelo body shimmer in fairy (gorgeous!)
-Steelo Perfect Finish Setting Spray (still testing this out...similar to MAC fix plus)
-Steelo blush in cafe rose

LIPS
-Steelo lipliner in Sand
-Steelo lipgloss in Pink Pearl

I did an eyeshadow vid tutorial with my bestie using these products and it turned out amazing! I'm also planning on doing a tutorial using the products on myself. FYI, their system from matching undertones and shades in mineral makeup is amazing....stay tuned!

Hi Bellas!

Thanks for participating in this contest. My BF and I picked 5 winners - each will receive one pair of circle lenses at my choosing.

FYI, if you win, please use your disrection when applying the contacts - apply it with clean fingers and if your eyes seem to get irritated, be smart about it, don't force it in! I had no personal problems with them, but since this is a product that has to deal with the eyes, you have to be careful!

You can check out these lenses at Anna's blog. This is the correct address. I accidentally listed her personal blog in the last entry.

And the winners are....

Ateeyah
Graceface
Sabine
sooji
mina

Congrats! Email me your mailing addresses and I'll send them out!

I have a couple more giveaways coming up, don't fear if you haven't won!

Till next time, Ciao Bellas!

Hi Bellas!

Is it just Tuesday? LOL Yesterday I was productive, my good friend Melissa came over and I filmed a 45 minute tutorial on her doing a complete makeover using Eve Pearl products. I'm going to split it into two videos, eyes and then foundation. It came out great! I've taken a little break on videos for the past week and some change if you haven't noticed...but I've still been filming them. I should have a video up in the next few days hopefully.

Meanwhile, I wanted to talk to you guys about another giveaway!

Recently, my girl Anna hooked me up with a bunch of circle lenses to try out. I was always a little wary about them...I had seen them on Asian Beauty Blog and honestly they used to scare me! However, this time around I've grown accustomed to wearing them. I picked colors that I thought were "more natural" than others. FYI, if you're not familiar with Circle Lenses, they are color contact lenses which are larger than regular ones. The larger color part of the lense makes the iris of the eye look larger...given you a bigger eye, doll like effect. My boyfriend absolutely hates when I wear any kind of color contact, but I think colored contacts/circle lenses look really nice when you do eye makeup.

Here are some pics of me with the circle lenses:

Here I am wearing the gray lenses. Unfortunately this pic is of a makeover tutorial that I did this weekend that was never saved...so sad. I might be recreating this look a little later though.

Here I am with the black Geo Lenses.

Can you tell the difference? Subtle right?

I got five different colors to try :) I'm also rocking a hazel pair right now.

Unfortunately, it looks like Anna is no longer selling the lenses but I still have 5 pairs to give away. When it comes to reviewing products, I always ask to give away a few pieces so that you guys can test them out yourselves.

The 5 pairs are all in zero degrees...meaning they have no prescription to them. I thought this would be the easiest. So for you lucky ladies who don't have vision problems, leave a comment and you can win a pair! I'll have my boyfriend pick again. Good luck!

Hi Bellas,

How was your weekend? It's rough being back at work after a 4 day weekend. It was so nice to stay at home, chill, sleep in, eat and spend time with the boyfriend. Thanksgiving dinner went well...I made way too much food! Everything turned out pretty good. I didn't make a turkey this year so I got to skip out on the hard part, he he. I didn't do Black Friday sales but I did check out the outlets and picked up a Bobbi Brown undereye brightener from the CCO. That's about all I bought! I've been on a budget lately, trying to save up for next year's big collections and the Makeup Show in Miami in February.

This weekend I did makeup for a boudoir shoot. It went really well. The bride to be looked just like Kim Kardashian with her smokey eyes...but better! If you're reading, hi Mina!

Anywho, back to the post...

I finally had the opportunity to try out the popular circle lenses all of my fellow asian beauty bloggers have been raving out. Apparently this kind of contact makes your eye look larger by increasing the size of the iris.

I chose Geo Angel Color in Brown. At first, by looking at the lenses I was a little nervous because they looked really dramatic in the case.

But when I wore them, I noticed that it kind of blended in with my eye. Not too shabby.

You can tell the irises are definitely bigger. The contacts give me a doll like feel.

I could totally do Ulzang with these babies! LOL that's a shout out to my Asian Beauty Bloggers from back in the day when we did the Ulzang challenge.

Changing contact colors is a great way to try a new look. It adds a certain mystique to your everyday style.

I received these contacts from http://sglenses.blogspot.com/. The blogger's page is actually an online catalogue. There are many styles to come from. They also carry various prescriptions. Each pair is about $14, and you'll need to pay for shipping.

To order, email x_kosmo_x@hotmail.com.

Till next time, Ciao Bellas!

Hi Bellas,

I thought we'd end the week with a EOTD using a mix of two collections. I used my electroflash duo in fresh green mix along with my neglected solar bits in bronzescape. I really like how the colors melt together. This is the perfect look for a nice summer day.

Notice anything different about me?

I'm wearing colored contacts! I really thought that my Freshlooks Colorblend contacts in Pure Hazel would add a little something to this look. Greens and browns look especially good on hazel eyes. Sometimes it's just fun to mix it up and try a new eye color. After all, it's only temporary. If you want to pick up a pair for yourself, might as well find a deal online at a place like www.Lensshopper.com. Mrs. Lynne did a very thorough review of the site here.

You can see a better picture of the colors up close here:

Here's what I used (ALL MAC unless otherwise stated):

EYES
-lucky jade shadestick
-fresh green mix mineralized duo
-bronzescape solar bits
-vanilla e/s
-Revlon colorstay liquid liner in brown black
-Ardell falsies

FACE
-Bonne Bell blend and glow highlighter
-Bare Essentials mineral foundation in tan
-msf in warmed

LIPS
-bateaux lustreglass
