Hi Bellas,

Today will be my first time reviewing a fragrance. Recently, I was sent the new YSL Parisienne perfume to test out. At first, I was a little wary. I'm very sensitive to perfumes and colognes due to a history of asthma and allergies...anything too strong makes me dizzy and gives me a headache. However, I was definitely willing to try it out.

I had heard about this perfume...I read an article about it in Marie Claire and saw the super sexy Kate Moss commercial. Apparently, this scent is supposed to be a mix of floral and woodsy with hints of blackberry, sandalwood, and damask rosk. Interestingly enough, the article I read stated that this perfume was supposed to be a reflection of a night out on the town with that sexy someone...then comes the overnight/sleepover portion wink wink, and the day after. We call it the "walk of shame" but Parisiennes apparently walk with pride and freeness and enjoy the memories that linger the day after. The fragrance is aimed not at Parisiennes, but for women longing to be adopted by Paris. You gotta watch the commercial, super sexy! If this fragrance makes me feel like a leather clad Kate Moss riding on the back of a motorcycle in the streets of Paris, I'm willing to give it a go!

My Testing Experience
As soon as I opened the box, I liked the packaging. It's very sophisticated with a prism like cut to the lavendar colored glass bottle. I definitely wouldn't mind putting this on top of my vanity. I like to spray a few spritzes in my hair so that the scent lasts longer. To me, the scent was floral and rosey but with an edge of fruit and exoticness. I'm used to liking girly, fruity sweet smells...but I actually really liked this. It's more mature but still fresh and definitely sexy. It's not like anything else out there on the market. The scent lasts a good while and even seems to change and evolve over time. I knew the boyfriend loved it because he couldn't stop sniffing me! He kept saying, "Look at you smelling like a grown woman!" LOL! This is also very reasonably priced ranging from $39 to $85 depending on the size. I would definitely recommend testing this one out.

Hi Bellas!

I get a lot of questions from aspiring makeup artists on tips, tricks, techniques and advice to help them get started. I've been wanting to do this series for a while to show you all some things I've learned along the way. The next installment in the series will focus on Makeup Artist Chairs.

Today I will be featuring traincases. These are essential for traveling makeup artists or even for those who are looking to store makeup. In the video, I go over the benefits and purposes of a traincase, qualities you'll want to look for, as well as show you my collection of traincases.

I'm a huge nerd when it comes to researching a product. After hours of internet searching, I found that http://www.yazmo.com/ was the best resource for finding a huge assortment of professional makeup traincases at a decent price. This is after comparing prices on various price finder sites and intense googling.

I've been able to partner with yazmo to offer you guys a great deal. Check out these discount codes and special offers:

Use the code renren to get 10% off your total order!
Also, for the month of November, you get free shipping! (This helps a lot since traincases are super heavy and expensive to ship)
Lastly, all orders over $99 (which are most of the nicer traincases) get a free 9 piece brush set!

Make sure to check out the video if you are an aspiring makeup artist or if you're in the market for a new traincase.

I'm currently in love with the Pro Aluminum Makeup Case All Black 4 Wheeled Spinner TS-88A. It's the newest model and seems to combine all of the best qualities of my former traincases into one.

PROS
-Of course I love how it has all 4 wheels so it can be spun 360 degrees. This makes it easier to navigate and twist and turn in tight places. Also, you don't have to worry about dragging it at a 45 degree angle which places all of the weight on your arm. Instead, you can just keep it upright on 4 wheels and push it...so much lighter!
-I like the padded, vinyl lined trays. They look nicer and cushion makeup more when you travel.
-The sleek black finish makes it look super professional and very chic.
-Holds a lot of makeup!
-Removeable trays, straps, keys and lock are a plus
-Drawer lining makes it easy to clean
-Wheels are very smooth and run easily

CONS
-it doesn't have the elastic straps on the inside lid and sides of bottom portion like it's predecessor the ts-36
-the trays on the top portion of the traincase could pull out a little farther in my opinion, I don't like when you have to reach under the tray to reach items in the tray below it.

I hope you guys enjoyed my first installment in this series. Stay tuned for more!

Hi Bellas,

Here is part 2 of my Halloween weekend. I was a little pooped from the night before, but we still wanted to do it big for the actual night of Halloween. My girls and I always love to do a group costume, and this year we knew we wanted something animalistic...we decided to be the Cheetah Girls. For those of you who don't know, the Cheetah Girls are a Disney girl pop group...but we jazzed it up by actually wearing Cheetah Spots and Leopard/Cheetah clothing.

It took about 4 hours for everyone to get changed, made up, and hair done. Yowzers!

Here is the final product. Don't we look like a girl group? Our costumes are a collage of all the leopard/cheetah print and funky pieces we could find from all the girly stores like Forever 21...Charlotte Russe...etc.

The boyfriends also joined in on the fun. Here we have a Goblin, Michael Jackson a la Thriller days, and a zombie. I did the makeup for the boyfriend and his MJ look. I used MAC face and body to darken him about 3 shades (this was when Michael Jackson was a little more chocolate) and made him shave off all his facial hair so I could do some real contouring and highlighting. For Jon (zombie on the right), I pretty much recreated the zombie look I did on the BF the night before.

The BF and I at the club. It was freezing outside and so packed! There were 4,000 people that showed up and the whole night was pretty much like a mosh pit, lol. The BF's costume was a hit! So many people took pics with him because he really did look like MJ.

Me and the Girls. I don't think people really knew what we are, lol, but at least we looked cute! I forgot to draw on our noses and whiskers dots, lol. Someone thought we were dominatrixes!

He really got into character, lol.

Here I am at the end of the night - cold and tired, lol. In the end though, it was worth it. Can't wait for next year!

Hi Bellas,

I wanted to share with you my first batch of Halloween pics. The night before Halloween, we got the party started early by going as a group of "Zomb-hoes" and my boyfriend as a "zomb-pimp". Get it? lol

I also wanted to show you a client who came to get a zombie makeover as well. He was very helpful in suggesting areas for new wounds and skin decay, lol. Here he is, the smiling zombie!

I went with "Mascara Melissa". Even though we were zombies, I still wanted us to be semi-cute. I still gave us girly makeup...but went with really pale skin from our faces down to our chests, arms, and back. I also went in with heavy contouring in bruise-like colors. For the lips, I applied a bold color and just took my hand to wipe the mouth to give it a smeared look. I also gave each of us a distinct wound. "Mascara Melissa" had a bite wound to her boobie. I had a bite wound and strangulation hand mark to my neck.

Here I am with the BF. I did a different kind of look on him by incorporating more greens and yellows to his skin. He bought his clothes from Goodwill...he wanted a 70's vibe to go with his "zomb-pimp" look. He added tears and fake blood to them too. I didn't really pull off the "zomb-hoe" look because I found this super cute looking prom/ballerina dress at Goodwill for $5! Instead, I imagined myself as a prom queen that got bitten by the "zomb-pimp".

"Zomb-Hoes" and our dolla bills!

Getting eating by the "zomb-pimp".
Doesn't "Mascara Melissa" look like she really got a chunk eaten out of her boobie? I also applied some contouring to give her some more cleavage. That's a trick you can use anytime you go out.
Stay tuned for my Cheetah Girl looks from Halloween night. If you used any of my tutorials for your Halloween look, don't forget to send me pics so I can feature you on my blog!
