I'm finally back with another video! Sorry for the delay. I was getting over a virus and busy with school, work and the holidays. This is a holiday tutorial featuring the Josie Maran Eye Love You Palette as well as Brush Lab brushes. FYI Maran is pronounced Mer-In, lol, I said it wrong a few times. I actually wore this look for Thanksgiving. In this video, I also feature a new line of makeup brushes from www.brushlab.com I'll make sure to review these super cool, modern brushes soon in an upcoming post.
The palette is slim and compact but also comes with a huge mirror that's perfect for travel. I love how the colors aren't overly shimmery...rather they're more of a satin or matte with a bit of shine. The shadows are also infused with Josie Maran's signature Argan Oil which makes them soft and super buttery - the color is pigmented and super easy to blend.

The great thing about her makeup is that she uses 100% natural and organic ingredients.

I like that Josie Marin cosmetics teamed up with The Campaign for Safe Cosmetics,so that they can make up without using toxins. I didn't realize that their were so much in make up products! Yikes! Makes me think twice about other make up products.
Argan Oil is an all-natural, 100% organic, chemical-free beauty marvel that really works....
What I thought was interesting was that their company has "a meaningful commitment to eliminate carcinogens, mutagens and reproductive toxins from personal care products." :)

I have Josie Maran's Tinted Moisturizer - it's s beautiful product and I love that it comes in two very pretty shades for women of color, like me! I'm now anxious to try her new foundation! Oh yeah, and did you know that when you purchase her Bear Naked Wipes, that a portion of the product sales help in protecting polar bears[they're endangered]. Very cool! :)

The one thing that I found interesting was that all the packaging from her cosmetics are 100% recyclable.
I'm sold on the Argan oil! Not only does Josie's website say it will do wonders for your skin, but the production of Argan oil helped establish female co-ops. Girl power!
josie maran was actual a top model who learned about using makeup from the best, and knew what works best and what to avoid for makeup.
Found out there are so many benefits in using argan oils. I first thought it was just for hair, but you can use it for your skin! :)

I love how the eyeshadows, lipstick and lipglosses are infused with Argan oil, I have extremely sensitive and dry skin. This brand is definitely right up my alley.
I love that a large portion of her brand is vegan. It makes it very easy to buy gifts for friends who are vegans.
So it's pretty obvious that JM Cosmetics are environmentally safe and heath concious regarding products and packaging. For some odd reason I always felt going ECO friendlly could equal going broke. In reality you get sooo much back... environmentally, financially and health wise. While reading up on her products I learned that naturally-derived stem cells taken from sea fennel fights signs of aging and improves skin tone :) A plus for me since I'm a young but aging beauty!

I bought a Josie Maran eyeshadow in Smoke, and LOVED it, but I'd really like to try more of her products. Not easy when I'm supposed to be cutting back on spending!

The fact that I learned was that regular makeup remover wipes aren't necessarily environmentally friendly. I had no idea about that until I was looking at the product information for the Bear Naked wipes! Definitely something to consider for someone like me who goes through a lot of those things.
A lot of their products are vegan, which is great because I really don't like using products that have animal-derived ingredients. You'd be surprised how much of the stuff we put on our face and bodies comes from a cow!
I adore that the packages are biodegradable so just throw them in the compost bin (well for quite a few of them!)

I use a lot of Josie Maran lip products because they are all natural. These shadows look really pigmented. Love it! Plus it's all natural.
I love that Jose Maran is such a socially conscious company that tries to make products that are healthy, reduce waste, and gives to other people. I think one of the most noteworthy things it its partnership with the City of Hope to donate mascaras for each mascara purchased to cancer survivors/patients in their Get One Give One (GOGO) beauty campaign.
Josie used to be the international spokeswoman for Maybelline, and she took the knowledge she gained from that experience and started her own company.
I'm super impressed with the fact that she works with Global Green to support their new Green Schools for Southern California Initiative. I always have a lot of respect for companies who fulfill their corporate social responsibilities.
I just recenty tried my first product from Josie Maran's line. I bought the 100% Argan Oil and LOVE IT! You can add it to EVERYTHING and has no scent so if you add it to your favorite scented lotion, it does not change the scent. I read on Josie Maran Cosmetics website about the GOGO project. I am so impressed with her company using their power to help others!
I liked the fact that they are suitable for all skin types as they are made of natural organic products like sea fennel that stimulates multiplying cells and generating new cells and gives you fresh new skin with time.

Paraben free products that still have the quality and richness of other non-conscience brands.
One interesting thing that I learned about argan oil is that not only is it good for your skin but you can use it in food too! It's healthy for both your skin and your body to consume. I definitely want to try.

Not Only are her products organic but im a very big fan of her GOGO mascara. Its cool because Josie Maran Cosmetics donate a mascara to a "City of Hope" cancer patient or survivor and $1 from each GOGO mascara sold will be donated to City of Hope's research, treatment, and education of women's cancers. This means alot to me because my big sister is a cancer survior.
I think it's great that the biodegradable packaging can be thrown into compost.
Josie is not only environmentally conscience, she is charitable. Gogo mascaras-get one an done is given to a woman w cancer/survivor.

But I found on his website that it is >>>>Commonly referred to as "liquid gold" or "The Gold of Morocco", Argan Oil is an incredibly rich source of Vitamin E and essential fatty acids.<<< Vitamin E is very important to me
