Hi Bellas,

Back with another tutorial! This was a last minute edition to my Halloween Makeup series that I filmed on Tuesday. My boyfriend has this weird obsession with zombie movies...this year he really wanted to rock it out as a half-dead zombie.

This look is so easy to do...all you need it your 88, 96, 120 palette (or any red, black, purple and blue eyeshadows) ..whichever one you have...some glue stick, lash or school glue, toilet paper...and your regular foundation.

This is probably the only time the boyfriend will let me put makeup on him, lol. As I told him in the video, come on...rappers wear foundation too! he he

Enjoy the tutorial!

The final look! This is a jazzed up version Mike made in photoshop to amp up the lighting...you can see how it looks in person in the vid.

Tonight I'll upload the Cheetah girl Vid. Stay tuned!

Hi Bellas,

I wanted to share with you a bridal trial from a few weeks back. For brides I like to highly encourage a trial before the big day to make sure we select the perfect look. This also gives me the opportunity as an artist to pack smart, and quickly execute the look on the wedding day. Trials can take sometimes up to 3 hours depending on the bride.

In this case, I had two brides to do. They are planning a November 8th wedding and both wanted to look great! Both of them hardly wear makeup but were very open to something new. The trial was so easy because they loved the first look I tried on them. They were such an amazing, happy couple and I wish them the best! I can't wait to see how everything turns out on the big day.

For Sandi, she wanted to go a little more dramatic and purple was her favorite color. We went for a smokey eye with a hint of purple but still kept it looking neutral. I also did a bit of contouring to make her features pop!

Here's What I Used (All MAC unless otherwise mentioned):

FACE
-Graftobian Oxyderm Moisturizer
-Fix Plus
-Lumene primer
-Cinema Secrets cream foundation
-Graftobian Dual Foundation Powder

-Ardell 120 Demis Lashes
-Spiked Brow Pencil and embark e/s on brows

LIPS

On Adrienne, she wanted something a bit more natural. I went with fall colors again using my beloved MAC Spiced Chocolate quad. The neutral look with a bit of color really suited her personality. She also had great skin!

Here's What I Used (All MAC unless otherwise mentioned):

FACE
-Eve Pearl priming moisturizer
-Graftobian Cream foundation

Hi Bellas!

Back with another Halloween tutorial! I posted this Sunday night but didn't have a chance to blog about it till now. I knew that I wanted to do this look for Halloween ever since I read the Twilight book series that my boyfriend got me for my birthday back in June.

I really wanted to make more of a realistic looking vampire. One that was pale, but still soft and beautiful. This is pretty much my interpretation of a Cullen Vampire - soft, smokey eyes, pale luminescent skin and a romantic wine toned lip. Again, I used mainly Graftobian Cosmetics to complete this look.

Warning - there is a twilight movie spoiler in this movie. If you haven't read the books and don't want to know a huge event that happens later in the series, don't watch, lol.

Here's What I Used (All Graftobian unless otherwise mentioned):

FACE
-oxyderm moisturizer
-ultra fair cream foundation
-white cream foundation
-dual foundation powder to set
-warm cocoa e/s as contour
-white opal luster powder

EYES
-white cream foundation as base
-ultrasilk matte eyeshadows - white whip, warm cream, medium cocoa, rich chocolate, medium beige
-dark chocolate pro pencil
-Ardell wispies lashes
-Anastasia Lifting Mascara
-Anastasia eyelight
-Red e/s from Graftobian fantaseyes palette

LIPS
-MAC portside lip liner
-Red and Wine shade from Super Cream Palette
-Blood Gel
-Scarecrow fangs

Hi Bellas!

Back with another giveaway. Today's giveaway is sponsored by Q-tips...a brand and product we all know and love. They contacted me requesting a review...I told them I had already tried out their new vanity packs (check out former review here) but I'd love to host a giveaway for my readers! Anytime I can get you guys free stuff, I'm game!

For those of you who don't know, Q-tip has released their new Vanity Packs in 4 super cute, colorful boxes which are cute enough to sit on top of your bathroom counter or vanity. They retail for about $3.19 and contain 285 swabs.

In my previous review, I mentioned how q-tips are an essential in my makeup routine. You can also really tell the difference between a Q-tip and a no-name brand. I've been poked by generic brands too many times due to the lack of cotton on the bud. If you use these around your eye area to clean up makeup like I do...you want a q-tip with enough cotton so you don't risk irritation around sensitive eye skin.

Here are a few ways Q-tips® can rescue your beauty routine:

  • They are convenient, disposable makeup applicators that can do the job of many brushes
  • They ensure precise application especially for the eye area and ideal for creating a smoky eye
  • Q-tips® are an affordable and clean alternative to expensive makeup brushes – especially for those guilty of not washing their brushes enough
  • They are also available in Q-tips® Purse Packs – a compact case perfect for on-the-go beauty touch-ups

One lucky winner will get all four Q-tips Vanity Packs and a West Elm Lux Jewelry box (retailed at $100). The winner should have a super cute vanity set-up by the time they get their prizes!

How To Win? It's super easy!
-You must be a follower of this blog
-You must be a US resident
-Post a comment telling me how you use q-tips in your daily makeup routine
-I'll announce the winner on Monday's post!

Good luck and have a great weekend!

Hi Bellas!

Back with another look. My other bestie also went to a wedding the same weekend as Melissa. She wanted to incorporate copper and navy blue. I had to think about this combo to make it appropriate for a daytime wedding.

In the end, I decided to go with a gold and copper on the lid and a little on the outer v. I also incorporated the navy blue as her eyeliner on the top and bottom. If you want to add a splash of color, try colored liner! Or you can do what I did...apply whatever color shadow you want to use with a liner brush on top of a black liner!

You can click on the pics to expand.

Here's What I Used (All MAC unless otherwise specified):

EYES
-urban decay primer potion
-soft ochre paint pot
-gold mine e/s
-copper sparkle pigment
-navy blue from Stila Loves Barbie Palette
-smolder eye kohl
-Eve Pearl black pearl liquid liner
-Ardell Demi Wispies lashes

FACE
-cinema secrets foundation
-graftobian dual finish powder foundation
-MAC sculpt and shaping powders
-NARS taos blush

LIPS
-cork lip pencil
-high tea lipstick
-a bit of dazzleglass in the center

Hi Bellas,

I'm glad everyone enjoyed yesterday's post. I have another wedding related post. By now, you guys must be familiar with "Mascara Melissa". As one of my closest friends, she gets the opportunity to be made up for all her special events.

Melissa was attending the wedding of a friend from high school. She hadn't seen a lot of the guests in years and of course wanted to look hot! Melissa was wearing this gorgeous olive green dress with a gold sheen and she wanted her makeup to coordinate. She decided on a Greek Goddess look...or bronze and gold.

I did a different technique on her where I shaded the inside and outside corners and highlighted the middle. I added a tiny bit of liquid gold glitter on the middle of her lids which looked so pretty in person...but hard to capture on camera. Ah well!

I didn't include a pic of her with her eyes open because the quality came out weird. However, you can click on the picture to expand and see the eyeshadow better.

Here's What I Used:

FACE
-graftobian oxyderm moisturizer
-Eve Pearl dual foundation in medium and tan
-graftobian peach corrector
-graftobian dual finish foundation to set
-steelo body shimmer in fairy
-NARS super orgasm blush
-MAC bronze bronzer
-MAC sculpt and shape powders

EYES
-MAC spiked brow pencil and chesnut e/s on brows
-Urban Decay Primer Potion
-MAC gold paint pot (forgot the name)
-MAC bronze e/s
-MAC glamour check e/s
-MAC texture e/s
-MAC goldmine e/s
-MAC ricepaper e/s
-Urban Decay gold glitter liner

Hi Bellas,

I'm finally getting this post up! These are pics from my Best Friend's wedding on October 2nd. These are just a few of the hundreds of pics but these capture the day pretty well :) The super nice pics mixed in with the regular ones are shots of the professional photos from the Photographer's blog at Jeff Roffmann Photogrphy. He was an amazing photographer and hilarious too!

We starting getting ready at 10:30am for the 6pm wedding. All the bridesmaids went to a salon to have our hair done...and the makeup artist and his assistant also met us there.

Here's a pic of me, Alex and Melissa after our makeup and hair. I loved the way my hair came out...you can't really see the intricate style in the back but it was cool! Too bad there was drama with the makeup...some of the applications needed a little fixing. The makeup artist did this weird drawn on crease for my "asian eyes" which I had to blend out. Fortunately I brought my train case full of makeup so I could fix everybody, lol.

Great shot of the bride after makeup...chatting, waiting for hair.

Here's the bride getting her hair done. She was going for a vintage look similar to the celebrities of the 1940s.

Isn't she lovely?

We ran late of course...and made it in time to the venue to throw on our clothes and touch up. Here I am applying the bride's red lip...Ruby Woo lipstick, Vino lip pencil, and bit of clear lipglass to the center.

Great shot...everybody taking pictures :)

Awwww :)

Great beauty shot...the colors are a little off though because her lipstick wasn't that bright...it was more of a deeper red.

We're excited and ready to make our walk down the aisle!

We started crying even before she made her way up to the groom!

The sun just started to set as the ceremony began...gorgeous!

Here's one of the shots after the ceremony. Big wedding party right?

The wedding was in Piedmont Park...love how this shot overlooks the city.

Each pair in the wedding party was introduced into the reception and we had to come up with a mini dance number to a Marvin Gaye song. Here is me and my partner...can you believe I ended up doing the Kid & Play dance in my 4 inch heels?

Shot of the bouquet and cake.

Pretty table settings.

Instead of regular table numbers, she framed pics of her two doggies. Her gift/favor to the guests was a donation in their name to the humane society. The pics of the doggies were my idea! My boyfriend took the pictures :)

Here's a shot of the gorgeous bride. Her mom made her the hair piece she has on for the reception as well as the veil she wore for the ceremony. For their dance number they did a complete choreographed danced to a Michael Bouble jazzy rendition.

Guess who caught the bouquet? ;)

I did! I accidentally elbowed someone in the stomach to get it, lol. Here are all the guys congratulating the boyfriend, lol.

Here we are...I'm posing with what's left of the bouquet, lol.

Interesting enough, the groom decided not to pick a best man. So allll of the groomsmen gave a speech, lol...some of them could have kept silent.

My bro flew down from San Francisco to attend the wedding. Here we are "vogue-ing" lol.

Here's a shot of the ultra-delicious cake. The wedding colors were orange and brown by the way.

I had to show you a shot of the dress. Isn't it gorgeous! It helps that Sai looks like a model in the first place!

Hope you guys enjoyed the pics!
